Pentecost Sponsored Walk

SAINT PATRICK’S ‘BUILDING OUR PARISH’ PENTECOST WALK
Our Church still needs your help for repairs to the building and to grow and develop our Parish life. CAN YOU HELP?
COULD YOU ORGANISE YOUR OWN WALK?
To help raise funds to repair the increasing list of things needing to be fixed around our Church and Hall buildings.
To help increase our Parish life. Some groups and social activites are popular but more ideas and participation are required.
WHEN?
On the Day of Pentecost: 19th May 2024,
but if you are not available on that day, do your walk any day between the 18th – 25th May 2024.
HOW?
It can be however you want: YOUR WALK-YOUR WAY. You may decide to walk alone, with friends, dogs, children, family, work colleagues or Parish members.
WHERE & HOW FAR?
YOU decide! It may be to do laps of your garden, plan a walk around your neighbourhood, local park or find a country walk that appeals to you.
IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO TAKE PART IN A WALK
BUT would like to sponsor the event and donate to the fund, then please feel free to donate using any of the methods described overleaf.
If you are a Tax payer and able to Gift Aid your donation, it will increase your contribution by 25% i.e. 25p for every pound you donate at no extra cost to yourself.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Each walker should:
Be responsible for ensuring that they are sufficiently healthy to take part in their walk and be aware that they are taking part entirely at their own risk.
Wear appropriate attire for the walk, taking into account the nature of the event, the terrain involved and the weather forecast.
Take something to drink along the way. Food optional!
Have the means of contacting help in case of injury . . . a fully charged mobile phone!
We do hope that your walks are really enjoyable . . . . KEEP SAFE!
SPONSORSHIP MONEY AND DONATIONS
Each person taking part in a walk could ask friends, relations, work colleagues etc. if they would be willing to sponsor them for their walk.
If they are not able or do not wish to donate on-line, please use the Sponsor Form which is available as paper copies in the Narthex.
Please donate on-line via the PayPal button on the HOME page of St Patrick’s Church, Brockworth website (https://www.stpatricksbrockworth.org.uk)
Gift Aid can be authorised by those able to do so. Please mark: Parish Repair Fund in the box at the PayPal checkout.The money will be sent directly by them to the St Patrick’s Church, Brockworth account.
By Cash or Cheque: in a sealed envelope marked ‘St Patrick’s Repair Fund Walk’ Please make cheques payable to St Patrick’s Church Brockworth. Envelopes are available on the table in the Narthex with a Gift Aid slip inside. Please put it in the collection plate or hand it in to the Sacristy.
Gift Aid can be authorised, at no extra cost to yourself, by those tax payers who able and wishing to do so, please complete and enclose the Gift Aid slip with your donation/sponsorship.
St Patrick’s Parish Pastoral Council sincerely thank all those willing and able to take part in this Parish effort to raise money for repair and upkeep of the Church and Hall buildings and to rebuild and improve our social activities.
