“You don’t have to be worthy, you only have to be willing.” Padre Pio
The PPC is a consultative and advisory body whose primary role is to support the pastoral work of the Parish Priest. It aims to grow in understanding and knowledge of what is already happening in the Parish and to encourage and support the good work of existing groups within the Parish. In doing so, the PPC hopes to assist parishioners, groups, and the entire parish community to achieve the mission of the Church within the local community. At all times the PPC strives to make decisions that reflect the values of the Gospel and the teachings of the Church. The PPC tries to keep abreast of all the developments within the parish and to encourage participation in parish activities be they of a spiritual, practical or social nature. It also has a duty to seek out and respond to the hopes, ideas, needs and concerns of parishioners. PPC meetings are held bi-monthly. Discussions cover a range of issues concerning both the spiritual life of the parish as well as practical, day-to-day matters. There are currently eleven members of the PPC. If you think that this is an area of Parish life to which you could contribute then please speak to Father Chris, Deacon Brendan, Deacon Barry or any of the current PPC members.
